Highlights From The 2013 BET Awards Red Carpet

“You never know what can happen” was BET’s motto for their awards show this year and they held true to their word last night as celebs hit up the red carpet.  Skin was definitely in as a few celebs like Nicki Minaj, Meagan Good and Ciara showed off abs and boobs in their body hugging dresses, while other fierce chicks like Eve, K. Michelle and Amber Rose (whose dress flew up and exposed all of her goods on the carpet) went for bright and bold colors.

Over on the guys’ side, DJ Drama, J. Cole and Brandon T. Jackson all wore the same ensemble which consisted of a black and gold Versace sweater, black pants and a gold chain. Lucky for J. Cole, he had a change of clothes. How awkward.

This year it was all about the arm candy for the fellas, including Kevin Hart who was spotted showing off his girlfriend Eniko as they hit the red carpet.Big Sean went for Tims and an over-sized shirt last night as he walked the red carpet with his girlfriend Naya Rivera.  She opted for a sequin Emilio Pucci dress and black pumps.Miguel walked the red carpet with his “beautiful woman” Nazanin last night before giving her a shout out during his acceptance speech for Best R&B Pop Male Artist.Dwyane Wade also gave a shout out to Gabrielle Union, who he referred to as “my black queen” as he accepted the Humanitarian Award during last night’s show.  Gabby looked spicy in a Zac Posen dress.Robin Thicke’s wife Paula Patton seemed high as a kite last night while on the red carpet and during the actual show.Ciara was showing off abs and legs in a black leather bra top and pencil skirt combo, while Future dressed in all black.Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa always make for an interesting red carpet moment.  Amber, whose tattoos were noticeably missing, showed all of her goods to the photographers after her dress accidentally flew up.
Amber and Wiz also battled Bobby Brown and his wife Alicia for the Too-Much-Going-On moment.  Get a room!
Meagan Good gave a red carpet moment that all of the fellas could appreciate in this cleavage-exposing dress.  BET probably had no idea she was going to wear that ensemble to announce the Best Gospel Artist category but hubby definitely approves.New mom Tamar Braxton hit the red carpet for the first time since giving birth to her baby boy. The dress would have been beautiful sans the belt.Janelle Monae will never give you less than classy.  She stepped out in a white suit and silver sandals.Brandy broke in a new pair of Priveleged lace up boots as she walked the red carpet in a nude colored lace halter gown.  She also caught up with Jordin Sparks on the red carpet.
La La Anthony rocked the carpet in LanvinBoth Terrence J and Wale suited up in red and black.Black was the color for “Think Like A Man” stars Regina Hall and Taraji P. Henson, as well as Melanie Fiona threw in some white and red and accessorized her look with an Erin Dana Ellie Purse that can be worn five different ways.Eve, Nia Long and India Arie gave the carpet some color in orange, gold and pink dresses.
Erykah Badu was probably too casual for an Awards show, but she has such an eccentric style that she can get away with almost anything.  She rocked the red carpet in blue leggings, black platform boots and and an orange tee.Ashanti brought her mom and sister as her date as she graced the carpet in a beaded gown by Aiishan Ramadan. A bun that was more towards the back would have made this look perfect.We can’t forget Lil Mama!  She looked stunning as she graced the carpet in a black beaded dress.
